Procedure Updates

Bus Approval:  Just a reminder to all families that parents need to have rides on another bus pre-approved by the transportation department a day ahead of time. This approval will be based on availability on that bus. We can no longer receive letters the day of, expecting to have students get on another bus other than their own. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, feel free to contact the transportation office at 815-765-2655.
Treats: Due to health concerns and scheduling, treats and snacks for any occasion must be arranged in advance with the classroom teacher.  All treats and snacks must be store bought and prepackaged in individual servings.  No homemade treats or snacks are allowed at school.  Treats and snacks may not require refrigeration and must have a clearly printed list of ingredients on the packaging.  Your assistance with this policy is greatly appreciated.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up: We have also changed the way car riders will be dropped off and picked up at Manchester.  Parents should now drive to the back of the building and loop around next to the gym.  Please drop off students at this point so that they are not walking across the parking lot unattended.  After school, the same process will be used.  Students will wait in a supervised line next to the building until you arrive and can pick them up at this point.
Lunch Charges:  A new procedure has been established by the district allowing each child a maximum of 3 lunch charges at anytime.  If a student is at their maximum, they will be given a PBJ sandwich, fruit and milk until the lunch charges are paid.
